Set-up instantly from the cloud. With Razer™ Synapse 2.0, your gaming preferences will be locked and loaded anywhere in the world. It's the first cloud-based setting network for gamers.
The following are known bugs and are currently being addressed by the software team:
Razer Synapse 2.0 requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4 to be installed. In preparation for Razer Synapse 2.0, users are encouraged to download and install the .NET Framework 4 through the Microsoft support site at http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=17718. This operation may take more than 10 minutes, depending on your internet connection.
No. Razer Synapse 2.0 currently supports one attached Razer Naga device at one time. Please utilize the profile feature to create different sets of preferences and settings.
This is a known issue and will be resolved in future releases. Razer Synapse 2.0 will automatically download and install new updates as they become available. Until then, please close the Razer Synapse 2.0 program before switching between Windows user accounts.
As Razer Synapse 2.0 does not save your private account information on the cloud, please sign into the game to let Razer Synapse 2.0 identify your account name. Then, please check the box to activate the Razer Naga Add On feature and identify the game's executable file. Your Razer Naga add on will now automatically sync the next time you log into Razer Synapse 2.0.
While Razer Synapse 2.0 and onboard memory are both at its core, storage solutions for custom user settings, Razer Synapse 2.0 is not limited by storage capacity in the same way onboard memory is. This is because Razer Synapse 2.0 saves settings to a cloud, software with virtually infinite expandable memory while a peripheral's onboard memory is limited by hardware.
Furthermore, as Razer Synapse 2.0 is cloud-based software, it is capable of expanding its feature set to include additional future solutions for you, such as storage and syncing of game-specific add-ons.
Razer Synapse 2.0 was designed to unify your interaction with all your future Razer devices on one single platform. Access and configure all settings on all your Razer devices from just one application. And you never have to manually download and update drivers for each individual Razer product as Synapse 2.0 will automatically sync and update all of them at one go.
Razer Synapse 2.0 has both an online and offline mode. When the user has an active internet connection, Razer Synapse 2.0 will save and sync personal user settings to the cloud in real time. Once the user loses their internet connection, the settings will be retained on the local machine in the offline mode. Users will still be able configure and create new settings in this offline mode and these settings will be cached and stored (on the local machine) until internet connection is restored and it will automatically update to the cloud; providing a seamless user experience.
All Razer products function as plug and play devices. Razer Synapse 2.0 offers a service above and beyond basic functionality to enhance your Razer product's capabilities. This includes features like configuring and saving macros, key binds, and preference settings. Razer Synapse 2.0 also maintains your devices in optimal condition by automatically updating and downloading driver and firmware updates, in addition to its cloud-syncing ability.
Razer Synapse 2.0 is not compulsory software to get your Razer peripherals working - but it is advisable if you want to get the best out of them.
