With Always-On, the Razer precision sensor never powers down, maintaining optimal tracking at all times and eliminating any lag that would accompany reactivation.

With traditional sensors that do not support Always-On, the sensor will power down when not in use to conserve energy. Once the sensor is moved again, it will power up and there will be a 50 ms delay before data will be once again transmitted to the computer.

Any type of sensory lag will result in inaccurate tracking. This can result in under aiming for an opponent, incorrect selection of units, and delay in flick shots. Always-On keeps the mouse input constant, regardless of activity so nothing will affect your ability to react to what's happening in-game.

There are many gaming situations that benefit from Always-On. Guarding a doorway or base defense in an FPS, while typing messages on the keyboard or excessive use of hot keys can result in the mouse being inactive. With Always-On, these actions will no longer compromise your response time.
