Q. How is the Razer Naga Hex different from the Razer Naga?

The Razer Naga Hex sports the same ergonomic design as the Razer Naga, however instead of 12 side buttons, the Razer Naga Hex features 6 large thumb buttons optimized for MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) games and Action-RPGs.

Q. How are the side buttons different from standard buttons?

The Razer Naga Hex uses mechanical switches on both the side and top buttons instead of a standard membrane switch. This mechanical switch is also used on all our PC gaming mice and the Razer Onza. It has a much shorter travel distance and allows the gamer to press it at a faster rate. Additionally there is an audible as well as tactile “click” feedback when the button is actuated. To sum it up: they are a lot more L33T.

Q. The thumb rest is too high/low, can I change it?

Yes, the Razer Naga Hex ships with 3 different heights of thumb rests. These rubber rests are textured for better grip and interchangeable with 3 different heights to suit your own gaming style and preference.

Q. Will the Razer Naga Hex be able to keep up with the fast game play in MOBAs and Action-RPGS?

The mechanical switches in Razer Naga Hex are able to track up to 250 clicks per minute, ensuring accuracy even during those clicking frenzies. The switches also have a 10million click life-cycle, up to three times that of standard mice.

Q. What sensors are used in the Razer Naga Hex?

The Razer Naga Hex uses the same 3.5g laser sensor as the Razer Naga. This sensor tracks accurately and quickly across a variety of surfaces and is designed to work especially well with Razer mouse mats.

Q. I can’t find the drivers? Where can I get the drivers for the Razer Naga Hex?

The Naga Hex uses the all new Razer Synapse 2.0 unified driver, a cloud based application that automatically saves your features and settings and makes it available anytime, anywhere. This means that there is no need for stand-alone drivers as Synapse 2.0 will ensure your settings and drivers are always updated and in optimum condition for winning. All you need to do is download Razer Synapse 2.0 from our support page, login to the software, and plug in the mouse.

Q. What if I don’t have an internet connection? Does that mean I can’t use the mouse?

Of course you can. By default the mouse will run as soon as you plug it in to your computer. However, you will not be able to rebind the side buttons and other advanced features on the Razer Naga Hex. We highly advise installing Razer Synapse 2.0 so that you can get the most out of your mouse.

Q. How do I switch between assigning the thumb buttons to 1-6 and number pad 1-6?

There is a physical toggle switch on the underside of your Razer Naga Hex. If the switch is at the up position it is set to buttons 1-6 whilst the down position assigns number pad buttons 1-6.

Q. I have a Mac, is Synapse compatible with the Mac?

Razer Synapse 2.0 is available for both PC and Mac, and are fully compatible with each other. If you use a Mac laptop and a PC at home, Synapse will ensure that your settings are saved and ported over no matter what system you choose to use.

Q. Is the Razer Naga Hex lighted?

Yes. The Razer Naga Hex has a backlit scroll-wheel, thumb button and Razer Logo to ensure that you can see your buttons even in low-light conditions.
