I have been using the Razer Sphex for around 3 days I am very impressed by it. I have once used a Razer Exact mat at my friend's house and compared it with the razer sphex, They are almost the same in terms of accuracy. In fact I like the Razer Sphex more since it is so thin, it feels like a part of ur desk. That is why they call it desktop 'skin' It provides and right combination of speed and tactile feedback. I own a Razer Lachesis and I have to say this is the perfect companion for the Razer Lachesis or any other laser mouse. Previously i have been using the goliathus which is a soft mat with my lachesis and it gave me some problems espicially jittering and moving ever so slightly once i apply some pressure onto my mouse tho it doesnt occur with my salmosa. But with the Razer Sphex it magically removed all my problems and made my lachesis more accurate than ever! It also revealed the true potential of the Razer Lachesis. For $14.99 its a steal. Highly recommended for people owning a laser mouse! For infrared mices u might wanna go for a soft mat such as the goliathus though. I am now saving up my money for a Lycosa keyboard because all their products has always been exceeding my expectations. THANK YOU RAZER for making such kick-ass products.

I was considering getting myself a new mouse pad for my Naga, and decided to order my Sphex. It came earlier than my pre-ordered Naga, so I tested it out with my Mamba. I was amazed. It really is thin as paper, yet as tough as a brick. I could've spilled soda on it and still had my Mamba glide across as if it was floating. I can push my mouse with the smallest amount of force and it just flys across the ever so smooth surface. It's plently large, and I love it. Can't wait to test out my Naga on it.

Its a good mousepad for $15, but it screwed up all 3 of my Razer mouses teflon feet. The thinness is the weakpoint for this Desktop skin. Sometimes in the middle of a firefight in Counter-Strike i might go off the mousepad with my mouse without knowing it(because of the thinness). Then, when i drag the mouse back it scratches the feet on the bottom and the mouse is never the same. Its happened to 2 of my Copperheads, and i just got this Razer Deathadder yesterday, and one of the feet is scratched already. I'm happy with the performance, but if only they could have made the Sphex larger to prevent this from happening. Going to get the Goliathus now.

This is the most perfect mouse pad for Lachesis,it is realy hard...i had some soft pads and it was realy "dumb" to use them with lachesis...when i put some presure on mouse, cursor moves cause lachesis laser is realy sensitive, with hard pads there is no that movement...

I've had mine now for about a month, when I first got it in I said " damn it smaller then expected, no way I'm gonna stay on this thing while playing" but I have to eat my words..It works great with my Lachesis and I have yet to run off the pad in the intense action of gaming....I bought an imitation called the wow pad for my on the road gaming with my Lap-Top but it turned out to be a dud, it would not stick to the desk like the Sphex would but instead stick to my wrist every-time I would lift it while gaming... so I am now going to order another Sphex to take with me on my travels and it's the perfect size for my lap-Top case. At 14.99 you cannot go wrong with this buy and if anyone fines a problem with thispad your plain retarded...LOL

thin exactly like two layers of paper, compared them!! some people said it was too smooth, I like it smooth I have a deathadder' the lacheasis is less glidy from my experience at least, the thinness I do find helpful, the tracking is.... I haven't yet compared it to any other with the deathadder but going from a stupid office one the sphex, I more than tripled the amount of head shots you ask for my idea if it's worth the money? I must say not it aint worth it, mainly because worth is nothing to describe what you get for so cheap, worth feel bad for it, it's much much more than just worth it, just amazing in y feel!!!!

btw I swear when I compared with the two layers of paper, it was exactly the same I slided my finger back and forward and I didn't feel it bumping or sliding up or down, just a perect match not higher not lower perfect match to two layers of paper

I just got the Razer Sphex today and its MUCH better than my old mouse pads. Its very smooth, my Razer Copperhead slides right across with ease. Perfect for people who like to play with high sensitivity. For only $14.99, its a good deal.

I bought it for $21 in singapore.. Couldn't believe that I can get it in Singapore as fast..I thought i needed to wait for another 2 weeks..

I can't believe this mousepad is so thin, almost like nothing on my desk..My mouse glide on it so smooth that sometimes when my fan blow, the mouse moves by itself..(light mouse)..But too sad that this thing doesn't fit in my laptop when i close my lid.. Maybe Kabuto will be able to do so..

Would really recommend this if you are looking for something great and cheap.. thumbs up!!

The Sphex was perfect for me as I was always having to reposition my old mouse pad. Not only does it stay in place but it is the smoothest surface I've used as my Diamondback just glides across with zero resistance. If you don't have a Razer surface already then buy this, you won't believe the difference and they're practically giving them away at $15.

Q: How adhesive is the back surface of the Razer Sphex?

A: By design, the adhesive surface on the Razer Sphex adheres to most common table top surfaces made from wood, plastic, glass, stone (such as marble) and even metal surfaces. The surface also retains its adhesive qualities over multiple uses. We however do not recommend the use of the Razer Sphex upon a fabric material as the adhesive would pick-up loose fibers. This may affect both the quality of adhesion as well as possibly create imperfections beneath the planar surface used for gaming.

Q:  Is the Razer Sphex flexible enough to roll up for storage?

A:  The Razer Sphex should not be rolled up for storage and should be kept as flat as possible. This is to preserve the quality of the gaming-grade surface texture and ensure that the bottom surface retains its adhesive qualities.

Q:  Is the surface of the Razer Sphex smoother than the Razer ExactMat X Speed?

A:  In terms of surface-roughness, it is neither as smooth as the eXactMat Speed nor as rough as the eXactMat Control. The surface texture is clearly visible but does not have the graininess of the eXactMat Control. On a scale of 1 to 10, with the eXactMat Speed rated at 1 and the eXactMat Control rated at 10 in terms of surface roughness, the Razer Sphex is rated at 3.
