I've bound all of my warriors attacks to each of the 12 special side-buttons and used mouse4,5, and 6 for stances. This amazing mouse has removed the need for the keyboard completely! With my dual monitor setup I can easily raid and fap at the same time! thanks razer!

    I love this mouse.

Thing is though, my mmo uses letter keys as skills. so im kinda screwed here..

Its real good for other games though :D i recommend it.

Please razer, make it so you can bind keyboard keys on it :(

I just got my razor in the mail today, i was fairly excited, i had some shipping issues where it took longer then expected to arrive but in the end it was worth the wait.

The mouse is nice, takes some getting used to, size wise, because im coming from my fat logitech g9, which my big hands have gotten rather used too.

Now i do have some serious concerns with this mouse, all driver/UI level, things that can be easily fixed provided the tech team doesnt sit on their hands to long like the guys at logitech.

I know this mouse is for gamers made by gamers but there are some glaring ommission which make me question if that truly is the case. The first important one is the profile loader, every gaming mouse has this as a necessity, something which tracks games by their exe, and loads a specifically related profile, ive been doing this since my mx518 days, before onboard memory so i know that isnt necessary.

The ability to remap the numbers is also an issue, its nice to have that quick switch between qwert and numpad but we should be able to fully remap those buttons to keyboard keys if we like, or even the back and forward buttons, which i also cant seem to remap. Also, it would be nice to be able to change the mouse wheel scrolling speed in the UI as well.

All and all it is a good mouse, but without these changes to the drivers and the driver UI i cant freely recommend it, unless you dont mind having these features.

The top 3 things they should add in my opinion are:

    1. Game profiles, the ability to auto load profiles based on exe and even create and manually load profiles

    2. The ability to fully remap the keys to any keys and not just numbers, since some MMOs donest use numpad they use F1 to f12.

3.The ability to adjust the uusal mouse functions and rearrange them, like back forward, and the scroll wheel speed, it would be nice to remap the mouse button 4 and 5, id map them to the 5 and 8 on the mouse just for comfort sake.

All and all a good mouse, if you arent bothered by the missing quality of life features that i hope to god are added REALLY soon, then you should like this mouse.

When I first started playing MMOs I was such a clicker<insert my embarrassment here>! I played range because I could click ranged abilities pretty fast but didn’t have the reaction time for melee at all! I was always getting pwnd by melee! Well as years went by I started developing a hybrid click/keybind system that honestly was just too complex. It wasn’t till the epic failure known as Fury that I actually learned how to keybind! Since I learned that keybindings allowed me to activate abilities faster than a good MMO buddy of mine, who is an excellent clicker himself, I stuck with it from then on. I guess the point of this is that I could have waited till this mouse came out and I could have bypassed my complex hybrid system and the standard 1-+! Thank you Razer for bringing the Naga to consumers! I’ve waited since 1999 for a mouse like this to come out! If my Naga ever breaks, I will replace it in a heartbeat!

I'm a girl gamer and have small hands and I must say that this mouse is perfect! I can reach all the buttons comfortably. My boyfriend tried the mouse and he has huge hands and he is able to hit the buttons without "fat thumbing" them. So this mouse really is perfect for all gamers.

I've been searching for a long time for a mouse with this many buttons (that I can actually reach) to play my MMOs with and this mouse is perfect in every way.

I can't wait to try this mouse out in Aion!

Just received this mouse today and was shocked with it. There IS a little getting used to some of the button layout for normal usage-primarily forward/back navigation, but it's coming quick. I decided to test drive it on WoW today, so I set everything up in game and mouse settings...WOW in WoW!!! Responsive!!! Accurate!!! Comfortable!!! Quality feel!!! Button configuration!!! Just amazing!!! I'm glad they got it to me in under the estimated 3-4 weeks. I also have the Logitech G11 keyboard and this combo is THE BEST you'll get. You'll never struggle to find the F or number keys again...all at your fingertips with the slightest movement. I HIGHLY recommend this mouse (and keyboard for a serious gamer) and ti's well worth the $80. On the downside...the 7-12 buttons on the mouse are a little awkward to get to...BUT...I'm sure with time (they do admit there's a 80ish hour learning curve) that will be eliminated as well. Get one if you love the MMO's or games that require a ton of keys. OH! the cable...cloth wrapped non-tangle! Excellent Razer, just EXCELLENT! Everyone out there..get one. My whole WoW guild is getting one...even the guys that just bought the WoW specific mouse. This thing will be a huge hit once the word gets out...so spread the work.

I used this mouse at Blizzcon and it was wonderful. It was very comfortable and having this many buttons available on a mouse is exactly what I am looking for. I can wait to get mine!

small buttons should be able to be set to change DPI on the fly...

  9. 9. Richard on 9/12/09 said:

I just got mine and after setting it up and using it for a bit... I wish that the small buttons were able to be mapped to DPI, kinda sucks that I"m used to Razers dpi buttons being there and they dont provide a software option to do that. Otherwise I really like it.

I echo the above review - it is a crying shame that there is not a decent left handed gaming mouse. With 1 million people playing WOW and 10-12% of the pop left handed (percentage of left handed gamers is higher than general pop) that is 100-120 thousand potential customers.

Q. I am already using Bartender4 when playing WoW and want to keep doing so. Is the Razer Naga compatible with that?

A. The Razer Naga is fully compatible with Bartender4 or any other ActionBar AddOn, if you choose to not use our own intutive Razer Naga AddOn.

Q. Why does Keyboard Setup Assistant pop up when I connect my Razer Naga to my Mac?

A.   Razer Naga key pad is detected as a keyboard and Mac is trying to identify it.
This happens only once, the first time you connect Razer Naga to your system.

Please ignore this prompt and simply close it.

Q.How do I uninstall Razer Naga drivers from my Mac?

Go to Utilities.

Double click Uninstall Razer Naga and follow the instructions on screen.

You would be prompted to restart at the end of the uninstallation.

Detailed steps:

  1. Go to Utilities.
  2. Double click Uninstall Razer Naga.
  3. To proceed with uninstallation, click on Uninstall.
  4. Key in your name and password when prompted.
  5. Click Restart to restart your system.

Q.Why do I need to restart after installation or uninstallation of Razer Naga drivers?

The Razer Naga drivers include a kernel extension and this requires a system restart.

Please ensure that you have saved your game and/or work before proceeding with the restart

Q. How do I install and use the add on for World of Warcraft or Warhammer?

A.  Please visit our video tutorials on installing these add ons, you can find these at.
http://www.getimba.com/videos.html

Q.     On my Mac why don’t buttons 4 and 5 work as “back” and “forward” as the defaults are set up to.

A.     In Windows default settings, these two buttons are interpreted by the OS and browsers as back and forward. That’s why in Windows, we call these buttons as back button and forward button. In Mac, these two buttons are not bound to any function and the system will ignore them.  However, if your application supports configuration, your Mac or application can respond to button 4 and button 5. For example, in System Preferences, Dashboard & expose, you can bind your button 4 and button 5 to a few functions provided in that screen.

Q.  Will my Naga work on my Mac with the WoW and Warhamer add ons?

A.  Your Naga will work fine with the WoW add on.  The Warhamer add on is still in the beta stage and has not been fully tested as of August 2009. All indications are it should work correctly, but until is out of the beta stage we cannot support it 100%.

Q. I cannot configure button 4 and button 5 of the Naga. Is this normal?

We have adopted a different method of configuring the buttons on the Naga. We provided the Add-ons for easy configuration in-game. For games where we have not developed the add-on, you should be able to use the default interface together with the Razer Naga.

Q. Why is the add-on not responding to the keys on the mouse?

Within the Add-on you would need to enable the options “Always use Razer Naga Buttons”
Also ensure that the 123/num matches that selected on the hardware.
For further configurations of the Naga add-on, please visit our video tutorial on using these add-ons. You can find these at. http://www.getimba.com/videos.html

Q. Can I have unlimited character Profiles in more than 1 games?

There is no character profile that is being stored on the Razer Naga. All character profiles are stored by the game.
