I just got my set, bought it Direct from Razer, $399.99 and $50 odd shipping. Got it in less than a week. Thumbs up to the guys behind the online store.
Let me tell you frankly, The Razer Mako's are immensely, immensely musical. My Father is a Hi-fi junkie often spending 6 figure sums on his setup. hes a loonie when it comes to audiophilunacy and I picked up a thing or 2 abt music systems from him and hanging around these so called "hi-fidelity" machines.
Well back to the Makos, these dome shaped canisters are solidly built with nice metallic etched THX logos on each pod. I fired up iTunes and proceeded to play my Fav songlist, sat back and close my eyes.
As the music poured from the curvaceous pods... you notice how the system waved a seamless sound that's packed with detail and delivered with an exciting enthusiasm....often producing a lively and fast sound while keeping a relatively even tonal balance; the treble is sweet without lacking bite or insight.
What amazed me was how the Makos managed to project the vocals from the center stage... the separation capabilities of this machine is FANTASTIC. Tts amazing, Nora Jone's vocals were sonically coming out from the middle yet the instruments were CLEARLY around it... crisp, tight.. musical. I was awestruck.. its been sometime since I've been excited with a piece of hardware so I kinda wet myself on this one... was this the omni directional at work? probable. but it was truly truly amazing.
If you're looking for speakers at this price point, you simply must have a listen to these. sorry I rephrase.. YOU HAVE TO BUY THESE. you will not regret it.

They are deffinitaly worth the price. just like any other razer product they produce a great quality! The aux in is a great feature with the touch volume control. These speakers blew my other 2.1 system away. Great sound great look only thing that suprised me out of the box was the sub it was bigger than i thought but other than that i feel like im at the theater! goes great with all the other razer products

These are great looking and sounding speakers! I think anyone would be very happy to have these on thier destop. The sup-wooker sounds better on the floor, but do not put it on carpet. Place it on a hard surface. One mistake I feel was made was matching up this speaker system with their sound card and the headphones. THX and Razer should have included a digital optical input which would have made a high end system that would match up with all their quality gear. But I still give it a 5 star rating.
