At an early age of 16, Cypher became one of the most promising players of Quake. His first major appearance in the global gaming scene was at the Eletronic Sports World Cup. Here, he surprised many spectators and gamers alike due to his spectacular performance against Anton "Cooller" Singov. At that tournament, the name Cypher entered the list of elite Quake gamers.

The Belrusian standout continued to add prestige to his name by winning various international tournaments. Cypher's efforts eventually won him the championships for the following tournaments: European Extreme Masters, QuakeCon, Dreamhack, ASUS Cup and the Electronic Sports World Cup. He is now one of Quake's ruling elite of players.

With so much potential and opportunities in front of him, Alexey "Cypher" Yanushevsky continues to build his legacy as one of Quake's best players. His recent win in the Ultimate Gaming Championship reinforces his efforts to dominate the professional gaming scene of Quake. His list of recent achievements include 1st place victories in the ASUS Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter Cup (2010), Dreamhack Winter (2010) and QuakeCon (2010).

Cypher is well know for his exemplary in-game positioning. In his matches, he displays uncanny map knowledge and player manipulation. Cypher studies both vantage points as well as his opponent's demo videos in order to predict their movement. This technique, to the delight of his fans and to the dismay of his enemies is a style in which Cypher continues to perfect.
