The Pro-Gamer's Choice
The Razer Taipan is the result of years of collaborative research with pro-gamers to pinpoint the optimal shape, weight, and balance for an ambidextrous mouse ready for the highest levels of tournament play.
Its symmetrical shape makes it viable for both right- and left-handers, comfortable and easily appealing to a wide range of gamers, of varying hand lengths, sizes, and grip-types. The narrow footprint and textured side grips makes it suitable for claw and fingertip users, while the arched back gives the necessary support for palm grip users.
Pick up a Razer Taipan and feel its light weight, perfect for low-sense gamers who need to execute fast, precise movements and lift their mouse often. The weight distribution of the mouse has also been optimized such that the centre of gravity works with the grip profiles of all the top eSports athletes.
You only need to take one look at the Razer Taipan's design to understand that this is the purest conception of a workhorse gaming mouse. It has no bells and whistles, its form feeds function - a device bred for one thing, and one thing only, winning.
The Razer Taipan was developed with feedback from the following teams:
Pro-gamer Steven Ashworth uses the Razer Taipan
I like so many different things about this mouse, from the reliable performance to the accurate tracking, but the comfort definitely takes the crown. I didn't think an ambidextrous mouse would be more comfortable than an ergonomic one, but Razer managed to nail it. The mouse is fairly light and I noticed my average score in games go up after switching. After daily use for several months, it still looks and performs like it is brand new.

Green LED lighting
Low-sensitivity gamers who lift other mice may experience on-screen cursor jitter as mouse-to-surface tracking continues. This is a detriment to gamers who need absolute accuracy in their games, as the cursor being thrown off a target may mean the difference between winning and losing.
In the Razer Taipan, once the sensor has been calibrated to the surface, you can customize the height at which tracking is cut-off when the mouse is lifted. This ensures on-screen cursor jitter is reduced; so your aim stays dead-on target even as you move.
By calibrating your Razer Taipan to a specific surface, it enables the sensor to record that surface’s color, topography, and other such properties. As variations on the surface are continuously detected as the mouse moves, it is compared to the original recording, allowing the sensor to react quicker and more accurately.
Unlimited profiles and other configurations
Every game is different and comes with its own set of control requirements. No longer limited by last generation onboard device memory, Razer Synapse brings the brain of the Razer Taipan to the cloud, expanding the number of storable profiles and configurations to infinite, and allows for longer, more complex macros.
Pair two Razer peripherals for the ultimate gaming combo. You can temporarily change the sensitivity on your Razer mouse by holding down a button on your Razer keyboard, or quickly change keyboard profiles using the mouse scroll wheel, with customizable lighting reflecting these changes. Even create macros on your mouse and have it available on your keyboard, there is no limit to what you can do with the hive mind that is Razer Synapse.
