Biographical Info

Kevin “RotterdaM” Van der Kooi is currently a professional StarCraft II commentator and comes to the Razer Academy with a wealth of gaming experience, currently playing StarCraft II at a competitive level as well as being a former WarCraft III professional and Heroes of Newerth player.

In 2010 RotterdaM started working for Turtle Entertainment’s ESL TV as a professional English commentator living and working out of Germany, foregoing his time spent as a WarCraft III professional to take up shout-casting full time and dive into an area of e-Sports he’d always wanted to develop into, having racked up a string of solid results in WCIII and making numerous worldwide tournament appearances.

Kevin’s commitment and passion for gaming makes him a perfect candidate to head out a dedicated portal on the Razer Academy where he will help develop and instruct amateur and aspiring pro-gamers across the world. Kevin stays incredibly well connected in the gaming world, commentating with co-caster Ben “MrBitter” Nichol and being well known throughout the StarCraft II scene by all players as a friendly and amicable individual.
